Local Amenities

Shops

Basic groceries, vegetables, bread, meat, alcohol etc can all be purchased locally in the Wentworth Falls shopping village. Katoomba (10 minutes drive or 2 stops by train) has a large Coles supermarket and a K-Mart and other villages in the area have smaller shops similar to Wentworth Falls.

Restaurants

Wentworth Falls has a modest range of restaurants/cafes on the main street, plus the Grand View Hotel dining room and the Bowling Club Chinese (both on the Highway). The Golf Club, about 3km along Blaxland Road, has a bistro.

Leura and Katoomba have a variety of cafes and fine dining restaurants.

Children’s Play Areas

Wentworth Falls Lake and Wilson Park (next to the bowling club, south of the highway) both have play grounds.

Golf Clubs

Wentworth Falls, Leura and many other villages in the Blue Mountains have golf clubs which welcome visitors. It is best to call the clubs to check availability and cost.
